Ted Kennedy to Oppose Government Healthcare

Democratic Senator, Ted Kennedy from Massachusetts

Democratic Senator, Ted Kennedy from Massachusetts

If you have been alive this week, you would know that this week Ted Kennedy died, after struggling with a malignant brain tumor. If you know a little bit about politics, you would know that Ted was pushing to have Government Healthcare made available to American citizens.

Let's take a look here and evaluate the situation and what the Government predestines for us, if this health care bill is passed. So, the number one "argument" that President Obama is pushing is to get rid of the "beef" of medical expenses. But at what cost? Your life...and the lives of those in your family. So basically, the Government wants us to put their faith in them for deciding what medical claims get funded and whatnot. If the treatments are too costly, then they will give you a pain pill and send you home to die. That is a great way to go down (sarcastic). You should not receive or be turned down health care based on how much money the government can spend of you.

Now, let us compare this to Ted Kennedy. Did Ted just find out that he had cancer and take a pain pill and sit there while his days slipped away slowly? No, he continued doing what he was doing and sought an expensive treatment in order that he could have more time here on earth, to spend with his family and continue doing what he had worked so hard for. If the government was in change of healthcare and they gave him a baggy of sugar pills to take, he would have bitched about that, and said "I am a senator. I deserve better than this! I deserve to LIVE!" Well, I do not necessarily agree with the philosophy "I deserve to live" at the expense of the taxpayers, but I do believe Health care is like going on vacation. You can choose to stay at a high-class resort or the hole-in-the-wall motel...all dependent on how much funds you have allotted toward your vacation. Health care is not a right. It all depends on your Insurance package. Government funded health care should not be a public option. The Government should not have the overall decision whether you live or die. Let the family of the person in question do that. Keep health care private.

You and I both know that the senators have some of the best insurance for health care out there. We, the people of the United States are paying for that. Do you think that is wrong? I sure enough do. The fact that Pres. rubs it in our face that he has a great health care policy is completely unprofessional, and to be honest, if this "public option" is implemented, I think their insurance should be canceled and they should have to love on the same option they are making available to the taxpayers.

Reform on Health Care?

So, is it just me . . . or does it seem as though whenever Obama speaks about health care he seems to change what he is saying? If you want to get technical, I do not think that he has read the bill or knows exactly what that 1000+ page bill has inside of it. Before I publish an article on my blogs, I read them again and again just so that I am confident that I am trying to convey what I am saying. On that note, I have read parts of that Health Care Reform bill, and quite frankly, his words do not match up to what he is trying to say. A sign? Humm...

I have said it before (not on this blog . . . because this is my first posting on here) but on my other blog and to people I am in communication with, America has the best Health Care system, and it does not need reform. I am stepping on a limb here, what does need reform is the Insurance agencies. A private organization needs to step up and regulate the insurance companies.

If you noticed in the above paragraph, I said a "private organization." Yes. Keep the government out of it. I am a firm believer in small government. The government needs to keep their little paws out of Health Care, so that we are not living in a socialistic system. Look at the programs that the government is running...The Post Office, Cash for Clunkers, Social Security...and many MANY others. They are all bankrupt and falling apart. You want them to give us health care? I do not.

Welcome!

Thanks for stopping buy. I hope that you find this site informative and helpful. Together, we can work to return the United States to the wonderful status that it once was.
